Quick-Reference Checklist

Use this checklist when reviewing any screen or flow:

Progressive Reduction

• [ ] Does the flow narrow options at each step?
• [ ] Are there 5 or fewer options visible at any decision point?
• [ ] If more than 5 options exist, are they grouped or progressively disclosed?
• [ ] Is the primary action obvious?

Preserved Agency

• [ ] Can the user override the recommended path?
• [ ] Is undo available for consequential actions?
• [ ] Can optional flows be skipped?
• [ ] Does the system accept varied inputs gracefully?

Earned Aesthetic

• [ ] Does every visual element serve a purpose?
• [ ] Is spacing consistent with the defined scale?
• [ ] Is typography hierarchy clear and intentional?
• [ ] Would removing any element lose meaning or function?
• [ ] Is visual rhythm consistent across screens?
